Palmetto Health (Columbia, S.C.). Providers with Columbia, S.C.-based Palmetto Health delivered more than 5,500 infants in 2016, which is more than any other health system in the Midlands region of South Carolina. The system also provides residents of the community access to the only certified maternal-fetal specialists and prenatal genetic counseling for high-risk pregnancies in the area. CareChex ranked Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia No. 1 in the state for women's health services in the medical excellence category for 2018. For 2017, Women's Choice Award named Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge in Columbia to its list of America's Best Breast Centers.
