OSF St. Francis Medical Center (Peoria, Ill.). OSF St. Francis Medical Center is staffed by more than 850 physicians and equipped with more than 600 beds, making it the fourth largest medical center in Illinois. It was one of the first hospitals in the nation to offer high-risk assessment for breast cancer to help women make the right decisions for their health; if breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is 98 percent. For its 2017-18 rankings, U.S. News & World Report placed OSF St. Francis Medical Center among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology care, and Women's Choice Award named the hospital to its list of America's Best Breast Centers in 2017. The hospital's birthing center is equipped with private birthing suites and a breastfeeding resources center.
