Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, Calif.).Kaiser Permanente offers extensive breast health services through the breast health center on its Oakland campus. The center features a self-referral breast clinic staffed by trained breast specialists and a one-day assessment clinic for women with newly-identified breast lumps to receive a breast exam, imaging and biopsy in the same day. If a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, Kaiser Permanente offers a breast care coordinator to provide individualized support throughout the treatment process. More than 15 Kaiser Permanente hospitals hold a baby-friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, and six hospitals have been recognized as Best Breast Centers by the Women's Choice Award.
