Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health and learning simulation developer WILL Interactive have joined forces to create a tool to combat workplace sexual harassment and bullying.
The interactive harassment, sexual harassment and abusive conduct (bullying) training tool will educate hospital staff on how to recognize and prevent workplace harassment, according to a news release.
Through the tool, staff members view movies, experience simulated real-life situations, make decisions about those situations, and experience consequences of their decisions. The overall goal is to see the potential effects of certain decisions before the situation occurs in real life.
"While we conduct regular training on workplace harassment, this new interactive video with real life healthcare scenarios, will help us take the education around harassment and bullying to a new level," Marna Borgstrom, CEO of Yale New Haven Health System said. "We want every employee, patient and visitor to feel safe and supported by our culture that is intolerant of harassment and abusive conduct of any kind."
