Attracting Gen Z talent is at the top of leaders' minds as staffing shortages continue to plague the healthcare industry. But how do recent graduates view healthcare, and which jobs in the field are most appealing to them?
Recent data from LinkedIn provides a positive outlook for some of healthcare's most hard-to-fill roles. Analysts looked at the first role held by LinkedIn members who graduated with bachelor's degrees between 2021 and 2022 — excluding internships and part-time jobs — to determine the five industries attracting the most new grads and the most popular roles within those sectors.
Here's their list, ranked from most to least popular with new graduates:
