Hospitals add 11,200 jobs in June

Healthcare added 34,900 jobs in June, with hospitals contributing 11,200 positions to that total, according to the latest jobs report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The total marks growth from the 15,700 jobs healthcare added in May.

Within healthcare, ambulatory healthcare services showed the most employment growth last month, adding 18,500 jobs. Nursing and residential care facilities added 5,200 jobs.

Overall, healthcare employment has grown by 403,000 jobs in the last 12 months, according to the bureau.
