The professional networking platform released the findings July 11 from analysis of its data on the global hospitals and healthcare industry workforce.
As part of the analysis, LinkedIn examined the most in-demand healthcare jobs on the platform. The jobs are those with the highest number of paid LinkedIn job posts from the hospitals and healthcare industry from Jan. 1 through March 31.
The most in-demand jobs, per the analysis, are:
1. Registered nurse
2. Licensed practical nurse
3. Certified nursing assistant
4. Medical assistant
5. Physical therapist
6. Patient care technician
7. Medical surgical nurse
8. Emergency room nurse
9. Progressive care nurse
10. Intensive care nurse
LinkedIn also examined data to identify healthcare jobs with the fastest-growing demand. The jobs are those with the highest quarter-over-quarter increase in share of paid job posts from the hospitals and healthcare industry, Jan. 1 through March 31 versus Oct. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023.
The healthcare jobs with the fastest-growing demand, per the analysis, are:
1. Care coordinator
2. Patient access representative
3. Dietary aide
4. Physician assistant
5. Hospice nurse
6. Direct support professional
7. Patient service representative
8. Nurse practitioner
9. Clinical pharmacist
10. Psychiatrist
