TriHealth confirmed it will move hundreds of employees to Cincinnati's Walnut Hills neighborhood and to Norwood, Ohio.
It's all part of the Cincinnati-based health system's plan to relocate its headquarters from Oak Street, where it leases space from Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center, to the Baldwin 200 building in Walnut Hills. TriHealth will move 15 departments, as well as C-suite executives and their staff members, to roughly 125,000 square feet of space in Baldwin 200, which will be known as TriHealth Baldwin. Since there is not enough space there for all employees, some departments will move to the Central Parke business park in Norwood, said Mike Mattingly, system spokesperson.
Overall, 285 employees, including payroll, TriHealth Benefits Solution, purchasing, scheduling, security, IT and corporate education, will move to Norwood, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier. Approximately 400 employees will move to Baldwin 200. Both moves are expected to be completed by June.
When TriHealth initially announced in December 2016 it was moving its headquarters from Oak Street to the Baldwin Building, the system estimated the relocation would save nearly $2 million annually.
