CHG Healthcare Announces Advisory Services

New division will offer consultation on enterprise workforce management

SALT LAKE CITY--()--CHG Healthcare has announced the launch of a new advisory services branch. Advisory Services from CHG Healthcare, as it will be known, will provide consulting services to help hospitals and healthcare organizations deal with mounting provider shortages, rising costs, shrinking revenues, lack of visibility and slow adoption of technology.

“This is something we’ve been doing in an informal way for many of our clients for years,” said Matt Brown, Vice President of Advisory and Telehealth at CHG. “This solidifies that process and expands the range of topics we can consult on, allowing us to help our clients solve their specific goals and challenges. We’re excited to create custom-made tailored solutions for our partners.”

With more than 40 years of experience in helping healthcare organizations meet their staffing needs, CHG is uniquely positioned to help healthcare organizations achieve their workforce goals. Managing more than 15,000 providers each year, along with the credentialing, travel, technology implementation and operational support — all at scale — gives CHG an exclusive and valuable edge in the industry. Advisory Services can help healthcare organizations create a comprehensive approach to the entire back end of their workforce at an enterprise level, eliminating the need for multiple vendors and creating a single point of contact for clients.

“Strategic, clinical workforce management is now the No. 1 issue facing healthcare organizations, and advisory support on this issue has, up to this point, been fragmented or incomplete to support them in solving this issue,” said Austin Chatlin, Director of Advisory Services. “They can’t hire their way out of this and need help to build a better road map to strategically deploy clinical services.”

CHG also offers a robust, award-winning culture and can offer expertise in engaging and retaining employees, helping organizations to reduce hiring costs and staff burnout. It is a powerful combination of prowess that has made CHG a leader not only in the healthcare industry but beyond, racking up placements on Fortune’s Best Places to Work, the Shatter List from Women Tech Council, and dozens of other accolades for workplace culture.

That unique combination was what attracted Scott Polenz to the team. He joins Advisory Services as the Principal Consultant, bringing more than two decades of experience in managed care, system administration and physician management and relationships. A former CAO with Marshfield Clinic Health System, Polenz oversaw the building of a hospital, and served as Vice President of Physician and Clinical Practitioners Relations, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, medical staff relationships, and overall system-wide engagement and retention. With experience administering health systems of all sizes — from rural clinics to Marshfield’s 13 hospital system — he truly understands the needs of clients large and small. He has a history combining administrative and executive direction, overseeing overall hospital operations and outcomes, and aligning policies and procedures with organizational mission and vision. A CPA and MBA, he knows how to maximize resources, enhance positioning, and remain competitive in the ever-changing healthcare landscape.

“I could not be more excited to join CHG Healthcare and be part of the Advisory Services team,” said Polenz. “I’m thrilled to bring my operational experience to our client partners and share CHG’s business acumen and award-winning culture to help our clients achieve their business goals.”
