Tucson, Ariz., is the metropolitan area with the most physician job growth, according to a study from Doximity, a social network for clinicians.
For the study, researchers examined data on 50 U.S. metropolitan areas based on about 8,000 open physician jobs posted on Doximity in 2017 and 2018.
Here are the 10 metropolitan areas where physician jobs grew the most year over year, according to the study.
1. Tucson, Ariz.: 20 percent
2. Los Angeles: 19 percent
3. Chicago: 19 percent
4. Little Rock, Ark.: 18 percent
5. Baltimore: 17 percent
6. Albuquerque, N.M.: 9 percent
7. Charlotte, N.C.: 8 percent
8. Seattle: 6 percent
9. Virginia Beach, Va.: 6 percent
10. St. Louis: 3 percent
