Nurses at University of Chicago Medical Center have called off a planned strike in the wake of a new tentative agreement between the hospital and National Nurses United, a union representing RNs, according to an NBC5 News report.
Here are five things to know about the agreement and the strike that was planned.
1. The hospital and the union reached an agreement Monday.
2. The strike was scheduled to take place Thursday.
3. Neither the hospital nor the union are discussing the terms of the agreement until it is in writing, according to the report.
