RNs ratify 4-year contract with Lower Bucks Hospital: 4 things to know

Registered nurses at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa., have ratified a new four-year contract with the hospital, according to The Inquirer.

Here are four things to know about the new contract.

1. The contract covers 160 members of the Nursing Association of Lower Bucks Hospital, part of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses & Allied Professionals.

2. It includes average pay increases of 10 to 11 percent over the life of the contract, as well as experience-based raises for nurses when they reach 25, 30 and 35 years of service, according to Jerry Silberman, the lead negotiator for the nurses, according to the report.

3. The contract also includes a guaranteed contribution to a 401(k) retirement plan, the PASNAP said, according to The Inquirer.

4. Contract vote totals were not disclosed.
