Maintenance workers at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, Minn., held a picket outside of the hospital Nov. 16, according to a KIMT report.
Here are three things to know about the picket.
1. The maintenance workers, who are represented by SEIU Healthcare Minnesota, picketed to discuss proposals by the hospital during contract negotiations.
2. The workers picketing hoped to get their benefits secured in writing. The workers currently receive benefits, but the benefits are not mentioned in their contracts, according to the report.
3. Ultimately, the workers want to reach a fair contract agreement.
