Union workers at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, N.Y., have approved a contract agreement with management, according to a Watertown Daily Times report.
Here are five things to know about the contract.
1. The two-year contract covers more than 500 workers, represented by Civil Service Employees Association.
2. The workers, who have been without a contract since Jan. 1, voted 262-17 Monday in favor of the plan, which was previously approved by the hospital's board, according to LCGH.
3. The contract ends a hospital-imposed hiring freeze.
4. The contract includes 2.5 percent raises for 2016 and 2017. It also sets employee contributions to health insurance premiums at 24 percent this year and 25 percent in 2017, according to the report.
5. Additionally, workers covered by the contract will be offered a 10 percent discount in the cafeteria.
