Cone Health Plans 150 Layoffs

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health plans to eliminate 300 jobs over the next three months, resulting in 150 layoffs, according to a News & Record report.

The 300 positions account for about 3 percent of Cone Health's workforce. The system is cutting $30 million from its budget due to cuts in reimbursement and rising costs, and the layoffs and job eliminations are part of that effort, according to the report.

The cuts will affect employees from all levels of the organization with minimal impact on patient care, according to the News & Record.
