The Cleveland Clinic plans to move 700 administrative employees from Cleveland to buildings in Beachwood, Ohio, at the end of 2014, according to a report by The Plain Dealer.
Beachwood is about 10 miles outside of Cleveland. Employees affected by the move work in IT, pathology and radiology, among other areas, according to the report.
The Beachwood buildings are part of the Bank of America campus. Bank of America is closing its mortgage and consumer banking office there at the end of this month, according to the report. The Cleveland Clinic owns the campus' five buildings and Bank of America had leased three of them.
After the move, the Cleveland Clinic plans to sell the administrative building in Cleveland or demolish it if a seller isn't found.
