A snapshot of healthcare jobs in 2015

Employment in the healthcare industry grew steadily last year, with no signs of slowing down in 2016, according to Health eCareers' newly released 2015 Year Over Year Healthcare Jobs Snapshot.

New healthcare positions accounted for 475,000, or 18 percent, of the 2.7 million jobs added to the U.S. economy in 2015, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Hospital hiring was particularly robust, growing by 172,000 positions and accounting for 36 percent of total healthcare jobs created.
