UNC Health System's integrative cancer support program goes virtual

UNC Health System's integrative medicine clinic has expanded, allowing patients to conduct their visits either in-person or via telemedicine.

The Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine Clinic, launched in 2010, provides patients undergoing cancer treatments or those with a history of cancer with a comprehensive assessment of their physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental health, according to a Dec. 12 press release from UNC. The clinic has relaunched and now has extended hours and virtual capabilities.

The clinic serves adult patients who are interested in mind-body practices, nutrition, dietary supplements and lifestyle strategies that complement conventional cancer care.
