Startup telehealth company, Remote Health Solutions, will integrate the U.S. Air Force's patient monitoring app into its existing product portfolio, TechLink reports.
Remote Health Solutions signed a licensing agreement with the U.S Air Force for its BATDOK application.
BATDOK, which stands for Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit, is a point-of-injury software tool that allows physicians to wirelessly monitor patients from injury to medical evacuation and any follow-ups or transfers.
With BATDOK, Remote Health Solutions is better equipped to meet the needs of the military's field medics. Remote Health Solutions has been increasingly working to expand care to wounded soldiers in isolated areas, giving them access to medical specialists through improved communications.
Remote Health Solutions will also install secure video telemedicine consultation capabilities and a back-end cloud platform into the BATDOK app.
The U.S. Air Force has licensed BATDOK to three other companies.
