On Aug. 10, virtual care company Teladoc will change its corporate name to Teladoc Health.
The rebranding effort will better reflect the 16-year-old company's portfolio of services, according to Teladoc officials. Teladoc provides virtual care services to more than 10,000 health system, insurer and employer clients in 125 countries, including traditional telehealth and expert medical opinions.
The Teladoc Health corporate brand will unify the company's services under one name. International virtual care provider Advance Medical, which Teladoc acquired in May, and medical consultation company Best Doctors, which Teladoc acquired in July, will fall under the Teladoc Health umbrella.
"Our new corporate brand reflects both our tremendous growth and our promising vision for the future," Jason Gorevic, CEO of Teladoc Health, said in the company's news release. "As Teladoc Health, we will further accelerate the adoption of virtual care and enhance our technology-enabled services to make high quality healthcare a reality for more people and organizations around the world."
Teladoc said individual users of its services won't experience any changes associated with the rebranding. The company will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under "TDOC."
