Flagler Health+, the telehealth spinout of St. Augustine, Fla.-based Flagler Hospital, is developing an online platform dubbed "virtual health village" that allows patients to access virtual care appointments, communicate with providers and view their health information, among other capabilities.
Flagler Health+ is collaborating with Optima Curis, a health IT platform developer, on the virtual health village. The consumer platform provides patients with a single system to schedule appointments, receive healthcare reminders and participate in social communities.
Flagler Health+ offers telehealth services for physical, social and economic health of Northeast Florida communities. The health provider expects to deploy the new virtual health village platform in January 2020.
Flagler is a 335-bed hospital that has been serving patients for more than 125 years.
