Orig3n, a Boston-based biotech company, is partnering with the San Francisco 49ers to reward football fans who support the company's human genome research.
During home games, 49ers fans can donate a blood sample to LifeCapsule, the world's largest crowdsourced cell repository used to better understand the causes and treatments of rare genetic diseases.
Fans can also purchase a LifeProfile genetic test, which provides information about an individual's genetic tendencies related to fitness and metabolism.
Fans who donate blood or sign up for a LifeProfile will have an opportunity to win 49ers experiences and prizes.
