A recent survey from Travelers, a New York City-based insurance agency, and Washington, D.C.-based Hart Research Associates reveals that 23 percent of businesses are concerned about their supply chain.
Researchers surveyed 1,202 business owners and decision makers in 11 different industries.
Here are four things to know.
- Results showed 27 percent of businesses are concerned about not having products available to customers.
- A quarter of respondents worry about receiving poor quality materials or compromised goods from suppliers.
- About 22 percent of businesses are concerned about system malfunctions in their companies and products.
- Out of all the business lines, manufacturers listed supply chain risks as a top concern most often (51 percent), followed by wholesalers (39 percent) and transportation (31 percent).
