Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline will have exclusive distribution rights of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Devon Medical Products that treat lymphedema.
Lymphedema is a condition where lymph fluid builds up and causes swelling in the arms and legs. Devon Medical Products' CircuFlow line offers pneumatic compression therapy pumps that ease the swelling and help the lymph fluid move in the appropriate physiological direction.
Approximately three million to five million Americans are affected by lymphedema, according to a Medline news release about the distribution agreement.
