Johnson & Johnson is looking for a buyer for its medical device manufacturing business Cordis, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Bridgewater, N.J.-based Cordis is targeted toward "less invasive" treatments for vascular disease, according to the report.
Johnson & Johnson is in the process of removing slower-growth businesses with the ultimate goal of reducing annual costs by $1 billion, according to the report.
The report projects the Cordis sale could bring in between $1.5 billion and $2 billion.
