GHX secures $5B in supply savings over past 5 years

Louisville, Colo.-based GHX, a healthcare supply chain technology company, reports saving $5 billion in supply chain savings for the North American healthcare market over the past five years.

In January 2010, GHX committed to save $5 billion in healthcare costs over the following five years, and the company has done so four months ahead of schedule.

"This accomplishment demonstrate the power of an industry working together to make a measurable difference in the cost of healthcare," said GHX president and CEO Bruce Johnson. "These savings came from automation, efficiencies and visibility in the medical-surgical and implantable device supply chains. We know there is still a significant amount of opportunity and work to be done. This $5 billion is the tip of the iceberg."
