FDA approves Allergan's breast implant

Parsippany-Troy Hills, N.J.-based Allergan earned approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch breast implant, reports MassDevice.

The implant is designed for use in breast reconstruction, augmentation or revision surgeries and was created using a new gel to achieve medium firmness.

The approval marks the third firmness option for Allergan's breast implant portfolio.
