Amazon is seeking to improve its relationship with healthcare manufacturers and service providers, Bloomberg reports.
The retail giant is looking to hire an individual to serve as head of its healthcare manufacturers and service team within its Amazon Business marketplace. The individual will work closely with Amazon's product management teams to deliver high-quality service to the company's health and healthcare clients.
"Our mission is to make Amazon the preferred shopping destination for Healthcare customers. We seek to understand the specific needs of our healthcare customers, vendors, and sellers in order to deliver innovative solutions to serve their needs," the job post reads.
The job post comes on the heels of Amazon's recent announcement it will acquire online pharmacy PillPack for $1 billion. Some experts regarded the move as proof of the retail giant's imminent foray into the pharmacy industry, according to Bloomberg.
Amazon created its business marketplace in 2015.
