6 latest FDA approvals

Here are the six latest drugs or medical devices approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

  1. Deerfield, Ill.-based Lundbeck developed a new epilepsy drug called Carnexiv.

  2. Quetiapine fumarate tablets are intended to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

  1. Automated Plate Assessment System is an artificial intelligence technology that automates the imaging, analysis, interpretation and reporting of microbiology culture plates after incubation.

  2. Hyderabad-based Granules India created orange-colored ibuprofen tablets.

  3. The blood thinner drug Xarelto can now be used to treat patients with atrial fibrillation.

  4. Flublok Quadrivalent is a new flu vaccine that contains three strains of the flu found in the original Flublok vaccine, as well as an additional B strain.
