5 latest FDA approvals

Here are the five latest medical devices or drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

  1. Ion Beam Applications developed a new super conducting accelerator for Proteus One, an intensity modulated proton therapy system used to treat patients with cancer.

  2. Troxyca, developed by New York City-based Pfizer, is an opioid painkiller that contains abuse-deterrent features.

  3. The ImPACT device is used to assess cognitive function following possible concussion or brain injury.

  4. Telmisartan tablets are intended to treat patients with hypertension.

  5. Oculus Innovative Sciences created a new post-dermal procedure product used to remove foreign materials like microorganisms and debris from a wound following dermal procedures.
