4 latest FDA approvals

Here are the four latest drugs or medical devices approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

1. The AeroForm tissue expander system is used to stretch out breast tissue in preparation for a two-stage breast reconstruction following a mastectomy.

2. Spinraza is a new drug intended to treat patients with spinal muscular atrophy.

3. Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch breast implant is designed for use in breast reconstruction, augmentation or revision surgeries

4. Genentech's drug Lucentis can now be used to treat myopic choroidal neovascularization, a complication of severe nearsightedness that can lead to vision loss or blindness.
