10 Recent Supply Chain Vendor Agreements

The following supply chain vendor agreements occurred in the past three months, beginning with the most recent.

1. Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Accuracy and Irving, Texas-based Novation signed a three-year contract, in which Accuracy will provide its CyberKnife M6 and TomoTherapy H radiation therapy products to Novation members.

2. HealthTrust Purchasing Group and Charlotte, N.C.-based Compumedics entered a three-year preferred vendor contract in which HealthTrust members will have access to Compumedics' sleep diagnostic and neuro-monitoring systems.

3. Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline announced an agreement to purchase cleaning and disinfectant technologies from Niles, Ill.-based Medtrol, a sanitizer and disinfectant manufacturer.

4. Irving Park, Texas-based VHA partnered with Alpharetta, Ga.-based Care Logistics to provide its member hospitals Care Logistics' Hospital Operating System™, a care coordination model and technology system, according to the companies.

5. Brentwood, Tenn.-based HealthTrust selected Melville, N.Y.-based Canon U.S.A and Boca Raton, Fla.-based Virtual Imaging, a wholly owned Canon subsidiary, to provide RadPRO Digital Radiology systems for its member hospitals, according to a joint news release by the companies.

6. Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline now has exclusive distribution rights of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Devon Medical Products that treat lymphedema.

7. Roswell, Ga.-based Kimberly-Clark Health Care and St. Paul, Minn.-based 3M formed an alliance to provide surgical and infection prevention solutions to healthcare facilities.

8. Waukesha County, Wis.-based ProHealth Care selected Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline as its exclusive medical and surgical supply distribution partner.

9. Phoenix-based SharedClarity, a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based UnitedHealth Group, signed agreements with Medtronic and Abbott Laboratories to buy the majority of its heart stents from the device companies at highly discounted prices for its 135 network hospitals.

10. Malvern, Pa.-based Siemens Healthcare signed a three-year agreement to provide blood gas products to Irving, Texas-based Novation's hospital members.
