Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health further centralized its leadership team by eliminating its two regional president roles, according to The Post and Courier.
Prisma Health is an 18-hospital system formed by the 2017 merger of Columbia, S.C.-based Palmetto Health and Greenville (S.C.) Health System. In May, Prisma hired a new CEO, Mark O'Halla, and ended its co-CEO model.
Following suit, two president roles previously held by John Singerling in Columbia and Spence Taylor, MD, in Greenville were eliminated. Mr. Taylor, who left his post in September, told The Greenville News he expected the change.
Due to the change, more responsibility will be given to facility-based executives, according to The Post and Courier.
