The Reading Hospital Adopts New Name, Logo, Tagline

The Reading (Pa.) Hospital has changed its name to Reading Health System to better reflect its identity, according to a BCTV report.

The Reading Hospital is now Reading Health System. The inclusion of "system" in the name indicates the integration of its facilities, services and healthcare providers across the organization.

Clint Matthews, president and CEO of Reading Health System, said "Our new name, Reading Health System, conveys the full scope of our organization, including our wide range of services, advanced treatments and physical locations," according to the report.

Reading Health System includes the following entities:

•    Reading Hospital, a 673-bed facility formerly known as The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
•    Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital, formerly The Reading Hospital for Post-Acute Rehabilitation.
•    Reading Health Physician Network, a network of primary care and specialty physicians formerly called The Reading Hospital Medical Group and Reading Professional Services.
•    The Highlands at Wyomissing, a continuing care retirement community, which kept its original name.
•    Berkshire Health Partners, a preferred provider organization that kept its original name.

Reading Health System also created a tagline, "Advancing Health. Transforming Lives," and simplified its "tower" logo. The health system's website and email addresses and telephone numbers will also change to reflect the new brand.
