Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare announced plans to open a new hospital bed tower by 2014 — two years earlier than originally planned.
The tower, which is part of a new hospital being built on the Wayne and Eileen Hurd Regional Medical Center Campus in Marble Falls, Texas, is ahead of schedule due to progress on construction and responsiveness to community demand, according to the release. The hospital bed tower will include 44 beds with space to expand to more than 80 beds and will offer primary care, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, ophthalmology, gastrointestinal and pain management, among other services.
The new hospital will also include a physician clinic, which is scheduled to be complete next spring.
