Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System and Oak Investment Partners announced the creation of a new company, xG Health Solutions, to share Geisinger's intellectual property and expertise with other healthcare systems.
Oak Investment Partners is investing $40 million in the independently operated venture, which will be led by Earl P. Steinberg, MD, executive vice president of innovation and dissemination at Geisinger.
The company will offer consulting; population health data analytics, interpretation and reporting; patient- and population-focused care management; health information technology optimization; and third party administration services. In addition, xG Health will offer non-TPA products and services based on Geisinger innovations.
