John Gennaro. Director of Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Gennaro, 37, was appointed director of the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, a facility that delivers care to more than 43,000 veterans per year and has an operating budget of more than $387 million, in May. He began his career with the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1997, having previously served as director of VA Butler (Pa.) Healthcare starting 2012 and deputy director of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System where he began in 2010. He also served as associate director for site management at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and associate director of Erie (Pa.) VA Medical Center. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the board of directors for the Allegheny Valley YMCA in Natrona Heights, Pa. He was named a 2014 Rising Star by Becker's Healthcare.
