U.S. Court of Appeals Rules Obama's Insurance Mandate Unconstitutional

A federal appeals court in Atlanta ruled that the insurance mandate provision of the healthcare reform law is unconstitutional, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Judges ruled 2-1 that Congress cannot require all Americans to buy health insurance. This ruling by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is in favor of the 26 states, led by Florida, that challenged the law as unconstitutional. The court ruled the rest of the healthcare law is constitutional.
