Providence outranks Mayo, NYP as best hospital employer for new grads

Forbes released its first-ever "Best Employers For New Grads" ranking Sept. 5, counting nearly 20 hospitals among its 250 selections.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to develop the ranking. Statista surveyed 10,000 Americans with less than 10 years of professional experience who were working for large businesses to assemble the list.

The survey asked respondents to rate their employer on criteria such as working conditions, salary and how likely they were to recommend the company to others. Statista also asked respondents to nominate other organizations within their industries.

Here are the top 10 hospitals that ranked on Forbes' list:

9. Providence Health and Services (Renton, Wash.)

18. Banner-University Medical Center (Phoenix)

20. Cincinnati Children's

29. Norton Healthcare (Louisville, Ky.)

31. Yale New Haven Health (Connecticut)

32. Emory Healthcare (Atlanta)

35. Atrium Health (Charlotte, N.C.)
