Nationally, the rate of hospital CEO turnover in 2022 was 16 percent, according to the American College of Healthcare Executives.
This marks the third consecutive year at 16 percent and the lowest the industry has seen since 2011, according to the ACHE. The hospital CEO turnover rate was 17 percent in 2019 and 18 percent in 2018.
