Hawaii tops list of happiest 10 American states

Hawaii is the happiest state in the U.S., according to Wallethub's annual list.

To determine its ranking, WalletHub compared all 50 states using 31 metrics, including depression rate, sports participation and income growth. 

The 10 happiest states in the U.S., according to WalletHub:
