Boston Children's Hospital grabbed the No. 1 spot on U.S. News & World Report's 12th annual Best Children's Hospitals rankings.
For 2018-19, 10 hospitals earned a place among the honor roll. Hospitals achieving the distinction "deliver exceptionally high-quality care across multiple specialties," according to U.S. News.
The list considers patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, and clinical resources and compliance with best practices. U.S. News updated its methodology for its Best Children's Hospitals rankings this year, though editors noted changes to the publication's methodology for collecting data for the 2018-19 list were minimal and included dropping certain survey items and altering its scoring of data from particular organizations.
Here are the 10 hospitals ranked on U.S. News' Honor Roll, followed by the top five hospitals in selected specialties:

3. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
4. Texas Children's Hospital (Houston)
5. Children's National Medical Center (Washington, D.C.)
6. Children's Hospital Los Angeles
7. Nationwide Children's Hospital (Columbus, Ohio)
8. Johns Hopkins Children's Center (Baltimore)
9. Children's Hospital Colorado (Aurora)
10. Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
Pediatric cancer:
1. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
2. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
3. Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center
4. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Memphis, Tenn.)
5. Nationwide Children's Hospital
