The board overseeing the University of Iowa has approved Iowa City-based UI Health Care's request to renovate and modernize its downtown medical campus. Among the health system's plans are radiology services improvements.
The project will replace and upgrade existing radiology equipment and infrastructure, modernizing the quality of radiological care provided to UI Health Care patients, according to a Sept. 19 news release from UI Health Care.
Other facility upgrades include the renovation of 14 operation rooms, the medical office building and parking structure as well as hospital infrastructure improvements.
