Two of Stanford (Calif.) Medicine's Department of Radiology chairs stepped down from their positions Oct. 1, though both are staying with the department.
Garry Gold, MD, has stepped down as department chair and David Larson, MD, is no longer serving as executive vice chair of the department, but both will remain at Stanford Medicine as professors, according to a post on Stanford Medicine's website.
Dr. Gold is set to lead the new Center for Imaging in Human Performance. Dr. Larson will continue to direct Stanford Medicine's AI Development and Evaluation Lab and the Improvement Capability Development Program.
Quynh Le, MD, will serve as interim chair of the radiology department. She currently serves as the chair of Stanford's department of radiation oncology, the post said.
