WellPoint Boosts 2Q Federal Lobbying Spending to $1.3M

Health insurer WellPoint spent roughly $1.3 million lobbying the federal government in the second quarter of 2011 on healthcare reform, according to a Forbes report.

The Indianapolis-based insurer, the nation's largest based on membership, spent 17 percent more than last year's second quarter, but it was three percent lower than this year's first quarter.
