UnitedHealth, Aetna, WellPoint May Be Pursuing Medicare Advantage Company

Health insurers UnitedHealth Group, WellPoint and Aetna are all potentially in the running to bid on XLHealth Corp., a managed care company for chronically ill Medicare beneficiaries, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

No deal has been finalized or confirmed, but it is speculated that bids for XLHealth could reach $1.5 billion to $2 billion, according to the report.
