Humana tops the list of best payers, according to a study of 2012 claims-payment data conducted by healthcare analytics and technology firm athenahealth.
Reviewing 83 million charges to payers totaling $15 billion from 40,000 healthcare providers, athenahealth found Humana was able to retain its 2011 lead over other payers on metrics such as its days in accounts receivable, decreased provider collection burden and electronic remittance advice rating.

10. Medicare Part B of Connecticut
