Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has upgraded the credit ratings of Atlantic Health System, based in Morristown, N.J., from "A" to "A+".
In addition, Moody's Investors Service affirmed Atlantic Health System's "A1" credit rating. System CFO Kevin Lenahan said in a news release the ratings news showed the health system is "well-positioned for continued growth, while still meeting the needs of out patients, employees and healthcare providers."
Atlantic Health System has four hospitals within its organization, and it recently signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, N.J.
