Health Partners Plans, a nonprofit managed care company owned by six Philadelphia-area hospitals, has applied with CMS to offer a Medicare Advantage plan.
Health Partners Plans recently changed its named and branding from Health Partners. The managed care payer currently has a Medicaid plan, Children's Health Insurance Program plan and more than 165,000 members.
The owners of Health Partners Plans are Aria Health, Einstein Medical Center, Episcopal Hospital, Hahnemann University Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Temple University Hospital. Currently, more than 30 hospitals and health systems have contracts with Health Partners Plans.
