Other economic indicators from the report included the following:
• Mississippi hospitals provide 60,143 full-time equivalent jobs, which is roughly 5.7 percent of total employment across the state.
• Twenty-six hospitals employ more than 500 employees.
• The average hospital employee salary is $42,193, which is above the Mississippi average of $33,185.
